Painting Sunset

The molten landscape
of an expectant canvas
captures etchings of a painter
the clear blue lagoon

in the morning sunshine displays

a fallible bend of the palm grove
In billows gentle,
the shadows swing and sway
the flow in tone with moss and stone
at water's edge, an imprint born
the creation, a moving vista
seized within
a cascade of the downward spiral

 

Rolling waves of the Pacific
reflect random hues
and subtle shades of passing clouds
twilight colors parade in sequence
along the paint spill
colors bleed, giving away
a rippling shimmer of blazing gold
flowing pink and fiery red
work of art on nature's forefront
the creation, a moving vista
seized within
