hip hop skip jump
flows the stream
on it moves
twisting around a rock or log
on it moves in the shimmering sun
as it glistens it holds within
a multitude of life
breath galore
layers of consciousness
inside one another
supporting, embracing
being together
always it moves onwards, forwards
playing in sunlight and silent at night
sparkling like an impish grin
creating its way
and shifting to adapt
as it continues its journey forward.
it swells and grows bigger and bigger
slowly starting to encompass all it encounters
merging finally into the ocean
only to evaporate up again
become a cloud and burst and scatter
falling down as gentle rain
the rain meets the stream again
and starts its journey all anew
and as it begins, and continues and ends
this dance of life pirouettes and pivots
knowing that it will never end
