Welcome!

Naturewriting.com is my own personal project. It was created out of a desire to have an online place where people of all writing styles and various reading preferences would have a way to share their reading and writing about nature.

I started the web site long before blogs, My Space, Facebook, and Twitter, so I guess one might call it an "old school" web site.

The naturewriting.com website is not commercial in any way. It doesn't sell any books or products; it doesn't have any political or social agendas. It doesn't capture any information about anybody or market any lists.

I hope it represents what I feel is the best thing about the Internet: it provides a safe, non-commercial, free place for people of all ages and talents to interconnect in kind and creative ways around a common interest--writing and reading about nature.

You are invited to provide information about nature books or writing books that have been meaningful to you, to share nature photos you have taken, to contribute your nature poems, stories, or essays, and to suggest quotations that would inspire others.

I regularly receive emails from people who have been encouraged by something they have read on the site. To me, that is what it is all about: trying to make the world a little happier, a little more hopeful--trying to help all of us see the joy and meaning in our interconnectedness with the world of nature. We are all nature. We are nature--writing. We are nature--reading.

If you would like to add something to the site, please email me at rharton@naturewriting.com. I will respond as soon as I can.

Regardless, I hope that you will find something meaningful and inspirational on the site--something that will help you enjoy the world around you even more and something that will inspire you to even greater creativity.

Sincerely,
Ron Harton
